Kolkata, 11 March, 2024: Adplus Chemicals & Polymers Private Limited, a Subsidiary of Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. proudly inaugurated its state-of-the-art LMW PE- PE Wax manufacturing plant in Haldia today. The plant's primary focus will be on the production of Low Molecular Weight Polyethylene—PE WAX, marking a significant milestone in the domain of Specialty Chemicals and advanced Polymers.
With this major investment The Chatterjee Group (TCG) and Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL) foray into the domain of Specialty Chemicals & Advanced Polymers. The cutting-edge products, under the brand “Polyfast”, are set to revolutionize various industries such as plastics and rubber, bitumen roofing membranes, hot melt adhesives, paints, ink, toners, paper coatings, high altitude road surfacing, and even cosmetic and skin care products.
The AdPlus plant - result of extensive in-house innovation and technology development, marks a milestone in the company’s commitment to revolutionize the industry and drive sustainable growth. Adplus is committed to technological advancement and prioritizes environmental sustainability. The plant has been designed as a zero-waste facility with no effluent discharge, exemplifying their dedication towards eco-friendly operations. The project commenced on November 2022. The Unit is categorized as environmentally friendly, generating no solid or liquid process waste. The final product, will cater to domestic and export markets.
With an initial investment exceeding Rs. 50 crores in the PE Wax refining and processing units of HPL and AdPlus combined, the project has already created job opportunities for over 30 local engineers and workers. Furthermore, AdPlus has outlined plans for various projects involving the manufacturing of Specialty Chemicals & Advanced Polymers. This investment will fuel the next level of industrial growth in Haldia, escalating West Bengal's industrial sector to new heights.
